Nancy Kaye Sluss

 

Nancy Kaye Sluss, 76, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 8:52 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Waters East of Wabash. She was born on December 16, 1948, to John G. and Betty Ann (Ray) Baker in Wabash, Indiana.

Nancy was a homemaker most of her life. She married Charles Sluss on July 25, 1970. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and being very active in the church; from playing the piano, singing, teaching the youth, and directing many Christmas and Easter Programs. Nancy was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church in Marion, Indiana. 

Nancy is survived by her husband, Charles Sluss of Wabash, Indiana; two sons, Richard (Michelle) Sluss of Lagro, Indiana, Jason (Sylvia) Sluss of Wabash, Indiana; two grandsons, Austin (Shelby) Sluss of Wabash, Indiana, Matthew (Wendy) Warren of Auburn, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Aniston Sluss, Charlotte Sluss, Lucas Warren, Elaina Warren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John G. Baker and Betty Ann Baker, stepmother, Frances N. Baker, one sister, Tyann Baker. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the funeral home.
