Christine L. Collier

Christine L. Collier, 86, of Lafontaine Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Rolling Meadows Heath and Rehabilitation in LaFontaine. 
She was born on December 25, 1931 to the late William and Hazel (Jones) Collier in Clinton, Indiana. 
There will be no services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana  46940.

James J. Weimer

James J. Weimer, 79, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the home he built twenty-seven years ago in Peru, Indiana with his children by his side after a long illness.  He was born to the late Robert & Frances (Howard) Weimer on February 8, 1939 in Wabash County.

James graduated from Somerset High School and retired as a Tool & Die Maker from Trelleborg Automotive in Peru, Indiana. He loved and was passionate about woodworking and cars.

James is survived by two sons, Dennis (Debby) Weimer, Churubusco, Indiana, Scott Weimer, Wabash; grandchildren, Jeffery (Emily) Weimer, Fort Wayne and Rainey Weimer, Wabash; brothers, Mike Weimer, Clovis, California, Eddie Weimer, Redbridge, Indiana, Steve Weimer, Okeechobee, Florida and Tom Weimer, Flippin, Arkansas.  He is preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Weimer; granddaughter, Ashley Weimer and two brothers.  

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash with Pastor Brad Wright officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association and Ronald McDonald House.

Marie L. Snell

Marie L. Snell, 91, of Wabash, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Parkview Wabash Hospital.  She was born August 27, 1926 in Custer Michigan to the late Russell and Edith (Frantz) Heckman.

Marie was a 1944 graduate of Lagro High School.  She married Billy Snell on September 19, 1953; he died on May 26, 2003.  Marie worked as a cashier for REMC and retired from Gen Corp. in 1988 after 32 years of service.  She was a member of Wabash First Brethren Church.  

Marie is survived by many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by two brothers.  

Graveside service and burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Services have been entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana  46992.

Preferred memorials are to be made to the Wabash County Animal Shelter, 810 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, IN  46992.

Mary Williams

Mary Williams, 83, of LaFontaine, passed away at 11:28 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre in Wabash.

Mary was born in Huntington county on January 9, 1935 to the late Claude S. and Francis M. (Shipley) Jones.  She was a 1953 graduate of Jackson Township in Wells County.  She married Noel “Brooks” Williams on November 20, 1955; he died August 6, 2005.  Mary retired from RCA in Marion, Indiana.

She is survived by one son, Larry (Eva) Williams, LaFontaine; three daughters, Shirley (David) Sarll, Wabash, Patricia (Tim) Adkins, Silver Lake and Peggy (Jerry) Watson, Wabash; seven brothers, James (Marge) Jones, John (Margie) Jones, Donald Jones, all of Warren, Tom (Wanda) Jones, Montpelier, Harold (Kathie) Jones, Fort Wayne, Max (Donna) Jones, Hartford City and Tim (Lynn) Jones, Bluffton; seven sisters, Irene Lizar, Gas City, Sharon (Jerry) Piqune, Warren, Judy (Tom) Peden, Hartford City, Linda Bontrager, Mesa, Arizona, Nancy (Meredith) Tudor, Warren, Margaret (Paul) Fritts, Montpelier and Debbie Watson, Marion; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine with Harold and Kathie Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at the IOOF LaFontaine Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the American Diabetes Association.

Richard J. Richardson


Richard Joseph Richardson, 77 of Norman, Oklahoma passed away January 29, 2018. He was born January 13, 1941 in Wabash, Indiana to the late Elvin G. and Cleorah R. (Roberts)Richardson.

He graduated from Wabash High School in 1959 and entered the Air Force on March 8, 1960. He spent 1 year in Thailand from 1966-1967, then went to Vietnam from 1967-1968. He spent 3 ½ years in Okinawa and had numerous stateside assignments. During the years of 1968-1975, Rich spent his time in the Presidential Squadron. In 1972, he traveled to China with President Nixon, making numerous trips with both President Nixon and Ford. After 21 years in the Air Force, Rich retired as a Senior Master Sargent E8. He then went to work for Boeing. Rich and Harryett "Ann" Bugher got married in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 22, 1985. In August of 1991 he moved to Norman, Oklahoma from Spanaway, Washington and transferred with Boeing Aerospace Operations to Tinker Air Force Base and spent 36 years with Boeing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Ann Richardson; brother, James Richardson of Ocala, Florida. A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, Oklahoma.
