William "Bill" L. King

 

William "Bill" L. King, of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born to Walter King II and Anita (Shatto) McNeal on May 1, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio.

Bill was a 1970 graduate of Southwood High School. He was a small business owner in Seminole, Oklahoma. He enjoyed his music and also enjoyed traveling all over the country.

Bill is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Tia) King of Wabash, Indiana, James (Staci) King of Wabash, and Kalib Wilson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter King III of Warsaw, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Rodney King, and three sisters, Cindy King, Anabelle King, and Katherine Anne Marks. 

A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana with Pastor Solomon David officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the funeral home.

Larry Eugene Tucker

 

Larry Eugene Tucker, 80, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 1:44 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at his lake home in Silver Lake, Indiana. He was born to Eugene and Naomi Pauline (Benson) Tucker on December 26, 1942, in Wabash, Indiana.

Larry was a 1961 graduate of Lagro High School. He served in the United States Marines in Vietnam. He married Sharon Ranstead on August 15, 1993. Larry worked for Dana Corporation in Marion, Indiana before retiring. He then worked for McDonald Funeral Home for many years. He was a member of the Lagro Presbyterian Church. Larry was also a member of the American Legion Post 15, Eagles Lodge 549, Wabash County Izaak Walton League, National Rifle Association, Wounded Warriors, and a former member of Hanna Masonic Lodge #61, and Shriners International. Larry enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and playing the lottery, but most of all he loved being with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sharon Tucker of Wabash, Indiana; four step children, Lynn Proebstle (Arnie Bice) of Lagro, Indiana, Julie (Joel) Thurman of Anderson, Indiana, Cindy (David) Burns of Wabash, Indiana, Matt (Kimmi) Christman of Markle, Indiana; 13 step grandchildren, Tyler (Callie) Baker, Erin Proebstle, Ellie Proebstle, Jordan (Colton) Richards, Josie Thurman, Jackson (Allie) Thurman, Jared Thurman, Logan McDonald, Reece McDonald, Kassi (Jared) Michael, Karli Christman, Colt Christman, and Cooper Christman; one sister, Judy (Dick) Boggs of Warsaw, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave. Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Brian Daniels officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be three hours prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at the funeral home.

Patricia J. Wohlford

 



Patricia J. Wohlford, 62, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 3:05 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at her residence after battling Cryptogenic Organizing Pneumonia since 2015. She was born to Raymond and Edna (Stoner) White on February 21, 1961, in Portland, Indiana.

Patricia was a 1979 graduate of Jay County High School. She married Michael D. Wohlford on February 24, 1979. She worked and retired from Kroger's in Wabash, Indiana. Patricia helped pastor at the United Pentecostal Church in Wabash with her husband. She had since been attending Westside Apostolic Church in Rochester, Indiana. Patricia was a teacher of various ages in the church, director of music and worship, the pianist, and also served on the board of trustees. She was a member of the United Food Commercial Workers.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Michael D. Wohlford of Wabash, Indiana; one son, Michael W. Wohlford of Wabash, Indiana; one daughter, Celestia R. Wohlford of Wabash, Indiana; her mother, Edna White of Redkey, Indiana; one brother, Tim White of Redkey, Indiana; two sisters, Cindy Hinds of Connecticut and Susie Campell of Tullahoma, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her father. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Doctor Pamela Higgins and Doctor Alison Turner for their care of Patricia.

Sandra Ann (Carroll) Allen

 

Sandra Ann Allen, 79, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023, at her residence. She was born to Earl and Edna (Stumbo) Carroll on May 8, 1944, in Martin, Kentucky.

Sandra worked for Pyle Speakers and Majestic in Huntington, Indiana before retiring. She enjoyed going fishing and traveling.

Sandra is survived by her companion, Robert "Bob" Christman of Wabash, Indiana; grandchildren, Levi Allen of Wabash, Indiana, Austin Allen of Wisconsin, Jacob Allen of Alabama, one great grandson, Jaxton Allen; one sister, Janet Hartley of Wabash, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kevin Allen, three brothers, Fred, Gary, and Tom Carroll, and one sister, Pat Carter. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave. Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.
