Scott W. Luttrell



Scott W. Luttrell, 48, of Wabash, Indiana, died on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:31 a.m. at Parkview Wabash Hospital.  He was born on March 4, 1969 in Wabash to the late Dale and Mary (Fairchild) Luttrell.  

Scott is survived by son, Tyler Luttrell, Wabash; daughter, Kaitlyn Luttrell, Wabash; granddaughter, Aaleyah Luttrell, Wabash; brothers, Bobby Luttrell and Rod Luttrell, both of Wabash and sister, Rhonda Luttrell, Wabash. 

Funeral services will be Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana with Pastor Danny Honeycutt officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.  Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to the family of Scott Luttrell to offset funeral expenses.

Vicki L. Carlson

Vicki L. Carlson, 68, of LaFontaine, Indiana, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center, LaFontaine,  She was born on March 19, 1949 in Wabash to the late Floyd and Betty (Stout) Richwine.  

Vicki was a 1967 graduate of Wabash High School.  She married Richard Carlson on June 15, 1968.  Vicki was the Liberty Township Trustee for ten years and worked at Clark's Tin Shop in LaFontaine for twenty years.  Most recently she worked for Schlemmer Brothers in Wabash.  Vicki was also a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Sweetser, Indiana.  She was known for always meeting you with a friendly smile.

Along with her husband, Vicki is survived by one son, Richard (Erin) Carlson, II, Lebanon, Indiana; one daughter, Dawn (Michael) Mattingly, St. Petersburg, Florida; three grandchildren, Richard Carlson, III, Grace Carlson and Gabriella Carlson, all of Lebanon, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her brother, Todd Richwine.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana  46940 with Pastor Terry Bisher officiating.  Burial will follow at the IOOF LaFontaine Cemetery.  Friends may call on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marcella M. Landis

Marcella M. Landis, 95, of Wabash, died peacefully at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Parkview Wabash Hospital with Lynn, Larry and Brenda by her side. 

Marcella was born to Victor and Laura Lenore (Shellhamer) Emrick on August 15, 1922.  She lived in Wabash County her entire life graduating from Linlawn High School. She married Phillip Eugene (Phid) Landis on January 1, 1942.  He died in 2002.  She was member of Wabash Friends Church and liked to crochet.  She made afghans for each of her children and grandchildren in their chosen colors. 

She is survived by two sons, Larry (Brenda) Landis, Wabash  and Lynn Landis, Wabash; a brother, James (Joyce) Emrick, and brother-in-law, Jim Reynolds.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Lunn, Bloomington, Kerri (Jason) Sailors, Wabash, Philip (Jen) Landis, Reno, Nevada, and Jeremy (Rachel) Landis, Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Marge Reynolds, Janet Emrick; and one great-grandson, Logan Lunn.

Funeral services will be on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor David Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow at the Mississinewa Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eldon Lilly

Eldon Lilly, 81, LaFontaine, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center with family at his side.  He was born in Quinter, Kansas, January 5, 1937 to the late Jesse and Clara (Jamison) Lilly. 
He graduated from Quinter High School in 1955.  Eldon retired from Dana Corporation after 30 years of service.  He always enjoyed farming and raising various farm animals.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Lilly of Gerrardstown, West Virginia; daughters, Marie Jones of Wabash, Marilyn (Bill) Boswell of Sheridan and Marsha (Randy) Frazier of Van Buren; Eight grandchildren, Jaron (Erica) Jones, Jeremy (Stephanie) Jones, Justin (Jessica) Jones, Jathan (Jessica) Jones all of Wabash, Evan Boswell and Chad Boswell both of Sheridan, Jessica (Eric) Howell and Tyler (Carly) Frazier, Van Buren; thirteen great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kycen, Braelyn, Laney, Reilynn, Rosden, Tanner, Owen, Milo, Connor, Logan, Stella and Ruby; and his daughter's mother, Ruthanna Lilly, LaFontaine.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sisters and one infant brother, one sister, Cecile Light, one brother, Russell Lilly, his wife Harriett and his son-in-law, James Jones. 
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Pastor Brad Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at Garden of Memory Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.  Friends may call two hours prior to service at the funeral home.

Madelyn Keffaber



Madelyn M. Keffaber, 75, a lifetime resident of Wabash, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her residence.  She was born in Wabash on March 15, 1942 to the late Harold and Barbara Bostic.  
Madelyn was a 1960 graduate of Wabash High School and retired from Wendy's.  She was a member of the Wabash Friends Church and Wabash Elks Lodge #471.  
She is survived by daughters, Kimberly (Mike) Baker, Lynn Haven, Florida , Susie Keffaber, Wabash and Tina Keffaber, Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Payten Keffaber, Wabash and Skylar Baker, Lynn Haven, Florida; brother, Frank Bostic, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  She is preceded in death by one brother, Harold R. Bostic.  
Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at  McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with pastor David Phillips officiating.  The Elks Memorial will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the funeral home.

Earl E. Poe

Earl E. Poe, 93, of Marion, Indiana, passed away at 8:53 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born July 22, 1924 to the late Willie R. and Cecile (Grim) Poe.

Earl graduated from Sweetser High School.  He married Phyllis J. Renbarger on July 21, 1950; she died August 7, 2015.  Earl retired from a career as a Sunoco Oil Distributer after 30 years of service.  He also enjoyed a very long career and life-long love of farming.  He served as a Past Master and Past Patron of LaFontaine Masonic Lodge #295 and Past Patron of LaFontaine OES #301.  He served as a member of the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and Pleasant Center Farm Club.  Earl was also a member of the Jalapa United Methodist Church. 

Earl is survived by his children, John (Marva) Poe, Dayton, Ohio, Marsha (Eric) Poe Anderson, Brownsburg, Indiana and Diane (Al) Poe Moore, Carmel, Indiana; Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his brother Harold Poe.  

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Pastor Brad Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery, LaFontaine, Indiana.  Masonic services will be performed before the service at 10:30 a.m.  Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service. 

Preferred memorials are to be made in memory of Earl and may be given to LaFontaine OES #301.

James M. "Jim" Black

James M. "Jim" Black, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Marion General Hospital.  He was born in Wabash on March 31, 1944 to the late Harold and Hazel Black.
Jim served in the United States Navy.  He married Patricia P. Pattee on January 28, 1975.  Jim retired from Ford Meter Box after 36 years of service.  He was a member of the Wabash American Legion Post 15, Wabash VFW Post 286 and Am Vets of Marion, Indiana.
Along with his wife, Jim is survived by sons, Donald J. Pattee and James Michael Black, Jr. both of Wabash; daughter, Rhonda Sue (Mark) Hensley, Wabash; brothers, Craig Black, Valparaiso and David Black, Alandale Michigan; sister, Janet (Dave) Sparling, Wabash; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a sister and one grandchild. 
Graveside services will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Friends Cemetery with Pastor David Phillips officiating.  Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992.

Marcille Airgood

Marcille Airgood, 91,Wabash, passed away in her home at 8:45 a.m. Monday, January 1, 2018.  She was born on October 3, 1926 in Wabash to the late Claude and Miriam Marie Gillespie. 
Marcille graduated from Lincolnville High School in 1944.  Marcille married Ivan L. Airgood on December 12, 1948; he died on June 10, 2003.  She retired in 1979 as the secretary for Southwood High School.  After her retirement, she kept the books for Airgood Trucking and was a wonderful homemaker and baker of cookies and pies.  Marcille was a member of Lincolnville United Methodist Church and attended LaFontaine Christian Church.  
Marcille is survived by sons, Clifton (Kari) Airgood and Randall (Teresa) Airgood, both of Wabash; four granddaughters, Brittni (Ryan) Chambers, Andrea Airgood, Megan Airgood and Emily Airgood, all of Wabash; two great-grandchildren, Griffin Chambers and Ella Chambers of Wabash; brother, Don (Ann) Gillespie, Wabash.  She is preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Reverend Melissa Rice officiating.  Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery, Lincolnville, Indiana.  Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January, 5, 2018.

Constance J. "Connie" (Fuller) King

Constance Jean "Connie" (Fuller) King, 58, of Wabash, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 4:30 a.m.  She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 6, 1959 to Patricia Fuller and Larry Coldren.
Connie loved anything that had to do with the outdoors.  She was self-employed and passionate about mowing and taking care of all of her wonderful customers. She was kind, loving, outgoing and never knew a stranger.  
Connie is survived by her father, Larry (Lisa) Coldren; son, Steven J. King; daughters, Megan King ,Samantha King and Jenn Weaver; siblings, Cammie (Fuller) McMillion, Julie Coldren, Debbie Harding and Michael (Jennifer) Coldren; step-brothers, Tory Vigar and Chad Vigar; half-siblings, Kelli Mehring, Brandon Coldren and Chris Coldren; Twelve grandkids and one great-grandchild.  She also leaves behind two very special friends, Joey and Pat Hidy.  Preceding her death are her mother and step-father Patricia and Sam Fuller.

Mary Lucille Drook

Mary Lucille Drook, 106, of Wabash, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2:10 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, East.  She was born in Grant County to the late Otto and Cleo (Lake) Renbarger on December 30, 1910. 
Lucille married Donald C. Drook on August 28, 1931 and she spent her life taking care of her family working as a homemaker.
Lucille is survived by her son, Leonard (Mary) Drook, Wabash; three grandchildren, Cathy (Mel Crichton) Drook, Indianapolis, Amy Drook, Peru and Jeff Claire, Watseka, Illinois; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald, three grandchildren: Donald Drook, Richard Drook and Marybeth (Drook) Claire and one brother.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash with Pastor Brad Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at Thrailkill Cemetery, Swayzee, Indiana.  Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the funeral home.
