Sandra Dennison

 

Sandra G. Dennison, 74, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her residence in Wabash, Indiana. She was born on March 27, 1950, to Estil and Beatrice (Daniels) Daniels.

Sandra is survived by a son, Neil (Amanda) Clifton of Wabash, Indiana; one daughter, Lisa (Tony) Shears of Centennial, Colorado; one brother, Jerry Daniels of Van Lear, Kentucky; two sisters; Teresa (Tony) McCoart of Van Lear, Kentucky, Peggy Sue Robertson of Wabash, Indiana; four grandchildren, Justice Forbes, Jacqueline Evans, Anna Clifton, Henry Clifton; and one great-grandchild, Joann Evans. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and three sisters.

Per Sandra’s request there will be no services.

Bruce Alan Wolfe


 Bruce Alan Wolfe, 74, of North Manchester, Indiana, formerly of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 2:26 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at his daughter’s residence. He was born on March 12, 1950, to Lewis Jay and Anna Lou Wolfe in Ohio City, Ohio.

Bruce was a 1968 graduate. As a teenager he and his family moved to Texas. After graduation he returned to Wabash, Indiana. He later met the love of his life, Marsha Buckheister and married on August 2, 1971, and brought their two daughters Christie and Kellie into the world. Bruce worked for Tom and Hugh Tracy driving semi and hauling grain to Toledo, Ohio. He then went on to work for the ARC of Wabash County as a transportation coordinator.

Bruce thoroughly enjoyed everything outdoors. Each year he looked forward to the June or September Canadian fishing trips with his son-in-law Jon Kline. He believed fishing was not a matter of life or death, but thought fishing was even more important than that. Bruce steered away from large crowds and was always able to find isolation in the Canadian Shield Lake of the woods, which was first introduced to him on September 2, 1997, by Darrel Martin. Bruce traveled there for many years after. Not only did he enjoy fishing, but after the season wrapped up, he loved to be outdoors during the fall Whitetail Deer Hunting as well as mushroom hunting in the spring.

Bruce loved his family most of all. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Hoosier Point Truck Stop. Bruce loved to laugh and enjoy ice cream with his family. He is healed now enjoying heaven with the Lord.

Bruce is survived by two daughters, Christie (Nate) Edwards of Laketon, Indiana, Kellie (Jon) Kline of North Manchester, Indiana; two sisters, Vickie Rhodes of Avinger, Texas, Kaye (Robert) Stone of Gillmer, Texas; and two grandchildren, Carrisa Edwards, Alesha Edwards. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marsha Wolfe who passed away July 11, 2022; one brother, Charles Wolfe; two sisters, Dawn Michelle Wolfe, Beth Ann Wolfe; friends, Robert “Bob” and Francis Martin, Darelle Martin, Charles “The Guide” Shank, Sam Norwood, and many Northern Pikes and Small Mouth Bass. 

A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at a later date amongst family and friends.

Joyce A. Ebbinghouse


Joyce A. Ebbinghouse, 93, of Bluffton, Indiana passed away at 8:48 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, Indiana. She was born on April 20, 1931, to Hugh and Lona (Zobrosky) Weitzel in Wabash, Indiana.

Joyce was a 1949 graduate of Laketon High School. She married her husband Charles “Chuck”  H. Ebbinghouse on July 23, 1949. Joyce is remembered for her gifted skills in arts and crafts. In her free time, she enjoyed painting and crocheting. She was an avid card player and she loved playing Yahtzee and Euchre.

Joyce is survived by one son, Gary (Diana) Ebbinghouse of Bluffton, Indiana; four grandchildren, Rodney (Melissa) Ebbinghouse, Rita Ebbinghouse, Rene (Jason) Phillippe, Amy Bontrager; six great-grandchildren, Chase Ebbinghouse, Kendyl Ebbinghouse, Jillian Phillippe, Josie Phillippe, Jarrett Phillippe, and Chandler Hughes. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles, who passed away July 2, 2000; a daughter, Donna Hysong; five brothers, Robert Weitzel, Larry Weitzel, Byron Weitzel, Rex Weitzel, Gerald Michael; and two sisters, Connie Sue Vorndran, Marilee Rupley.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the funeral home.

Larry Joe Eltzroth

 

Larry Joe Eltzroth, 85, of Urbana, Indiana passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his residence. He was born on February 24, 1939, to Clary Eltzroth and Betty (Sweet) Schlemer in Wabash, Indiana.

Larry was a 1957 graduate of Wabash High School, and he attended Ball State University for two years. He served in the 101st Airborne in the United States Army. He married his wife Loretta Lawson on May 28, 1966. He worked at IMCO as a quality manager in Huntington, Indiana for many years. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He especially loved following his grandchildren in their sporting events and all their favorite activities. Most of all, he loved his entire family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Loretta Eltzroth of Urbana, Indiana; two sons, Clary (Candi) Eltzroth of Urbana, Indiana, Todd (Melessa) Eltzroth of Roann, Indiana; three daughters, Rebecca Coldren of Akron, Indiana, Amanda (Ben) Grawcock of Kendallville, Indiana, Stacy Eltzroth of Urbana, Indiana; one sister, Sue (Robert) Mitting of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Clary Eltzroth and Betty Schlemer; one brother Danny Eltzroth; and step-father, Bill Schlemer.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Dustin Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mississinewa Cemetery in Somerset, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the funeral home.

James Morgan

 

James R. Morgan, 68, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 12:53 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born on May 29, 1955, to James H. and Constance (Garrison) Morgan in Frankfort, Indiana.

James was a 1974 graduate of Frankfort High School. He married his wife Diana Hampton on May 15, 1974, in Frankfort, Indiana. James retired from the United States Air Force in 2005 as a Master Sergeant as well as Civil Service. He served twenty-five years in several deployments, one included having served in the Gulf War. He also held a membership with the American Legion Post 15 in Wabash, Indiana.

James is survived by his wife, Diana Morgan of Wabash, Indiana; three sons, Roger (Amy) Morgan of Peru, Indiana, Michael (Sharon) Morgan of Wabash, Indiana, John (Robyn) Morgan of Dover, Delaware; two brothers, Reggie Morgan of Frankfort, Indiana, Rodney Morgan of Kokomo, Indiana; one sister, Pamela Roark of Wabash, Indiana; twenty-four grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cheryl Morgan; and a brother, Richard Morgan.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the funeral home.

Terry Burgess

 

Terry L. Burgess, 57, of Marion, Indiana passed away at 9:46 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on July 22, 1966, to Stephen and Shirley (Thompson) Burgess in Wabash, Indiana.

Terry was a 1985 graduate of Indiana School of The Blind. He formerly attended Lincolnville United Methodist Church, now renamed Lincolnville Community Church. He also had formerly worked at Arby's in Marion, Indiana. Terry had a love for music and specifically idolized the rock group KISS. In his free time, he enjoyed hanging out at his local convenience store in Marion. He had a lot of faith and would always say prayer at family meals.

Terry is survived by his parents, Stephen and Shirley Burgess of LaFontaine, Indiana; and one brother, Todd (Denise) Burgess of Warsaw, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Burgess who passed away in 1997.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Pastor Susan Shambaugh officiating. Burial will follow at LaFontaine I.O.O.F Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the time of service on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the funeral home.
