Naomi Faye Thurlow

Naomi Faye Thurlow, 85, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at the Heritage House in New Castle, Indiana. She was born to the late Looney Grady and Daisy (Smith) Powell on July 6, 1928 in Ashville, North Carolina.
She was a high school graduate and attended Central Wesleyan College in South Carolina. She married Melvin Philip Thurlow on September 12, 1952, he passed away on May 10, 2001. Faye was a homemaker to her family. She was a member of Wabash Alliance Church.
She is survived by two sons,  Jon M. Thurlow & wife Kim of New Castle, Indiana, and Robert D. Thurlow & wife Johanna of Cedarville, Ohio; three daughters, Nancy C. Short & husband Stan of Nashville, Tennessee, Beth A. Mazerik & husband James of Salinas, California, and Phyllis J. Ronco & husband Doug of Madeira Beach, Florida; brother, Glenn Powell of Marion, North Carolina; three sisters, Ruby Powell and Clara Chandler both of Asheville, North Carolina, and Ruth Beyler of Palos, Illinois; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis E. Thurlow and most recently Michael W. Thurlow on February 16, 2014.
A memorial service for both Faye and Michael will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Calling hours for family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.  Preferred memorials are directed to Freedom House ministry of the Foursquare Church, 3200 S 14th St, New Castle, IN 47362.
