Clarence "Doc" Cooper


 Clarence “Doc” Cooper, 89, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at his residence in Wabash, Indiana. He was born on November 11, 1935, to Ted and Mary (Cole) Cooper, in Whitewood, Virginia.

Clarence married Crystal (Ritter) Cooper on April 2, 1955. He held a membership at Christian Hertiage Church in Wabash, Indiana. Doc enjoyed listening to country music, coon hunting, fishing, being outdoors, but most of all he loved and cherished his friends and family.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Crystal (Ritter) Cooper; one son, Gary (Veralyn) Cooper of Kokomo, Indiana; one sister, Frances Johnstone of Wabash, Indiana; four grandchildren, Wes Cooper of Wabash, Indiana, Heather (Mike) Myers of Wabash, Indiana, Eric Bostwick of Urbana, Indiana, Zach Ross of Wabash Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Cooper Bostwick, Haley Ray, Christopher Myers; three great-great-grandchildren, Maddox Ray, Marley Ray, Tucker Bostwick; three children Doc and Chris raised as their own, Sharon (Ken) Baldi, Lorae (Ken) Andrus, and Mike (Kim) Ritter; seven grandchildren, Kyle Lamson, Rachel Lamson, Brittany Mudd, Brandon Mudd, Travis (Katie) Ritter, Morgan Ritter, Sarah (Hunter) Law. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debra L. Ross, who passed July 24, 2014; two brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Christian Heritage Church, 2776 River Road, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Homes, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992.
