Reva J. Johnson


 Reva J. Johnson, 74, of Silver Lake, Indiana passed away at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Parkview Whitley Hospital. She was born to Goerge Jr. and Willetta (Varney) Fields on November 22, 1948, in Pie, West Virginia.

Reva was a graduate of Wabash High School. She married Floyd Johnson on May 28, 1971. She worked as a quality control tech for 31 years at Invensys Controls in North Manchester, then worked for 2 years at Depuy in Warsaw. Reva attended the First Freewill Baptist Church in Kosciusko County. She loved flowers and the holidays. Reva was an adventurer, she enjoyed traveling. Most of all Reva loved her family. 

Reva is survived by her husband of 52 years, Floyd Johnson of Silver Lake, Indiana; one son, Dave Huffman of Wabash, Indiana; three daughters, Deanna (David) Anderson of Warsaw, Indiana, Berneda (Randy) Runkel of Claypool, Indiana, Tonya (Lamonte) Rhoades of Columbia City, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Kristen Wise, Cody Salmons, Hunter Salmons, Hannah Salmons, Lindsey Cansler, Megan Woodward, Ashley Emerick, Aleesha Hammel, Alaina Ross; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Jackie (Jim) Sleighter of North Manchester, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Lane Salmons and Logan Salmons, two brothers, and one sister. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave. Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Rev. Billy Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be two hours prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to be directed to Riley Hospital for Children 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202 in care of McDonald Funeral Homes.
