Karen Lynn Moore, 61, of Roann, Indiana, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at her residence in Roann, Indiana. She was born on March 16, 1963, to George Andrew Blair and Bonnie Helen Brown in Sonoma, California where she resided for 24 years.
Karen married her husband Bill Howard Moore on March 21, 1987. Karen was a homemaker, but she dedicated a lot of time working at the animal shelter. She had a great love for all animals. Karen enjoyed riding motorcycles, being with her grandchildren, and spending time with family. Friends always became family to Karen. She is also the founder and a lifelong member of HOG (Harley Owner’s Group) Wabash Chapter.
Karen is survived by one son, Roger Lee Moore of Huntington, Indiana; one daughter, Calian Marie (Tyson) Wuensch; one brother, George Allen Blair of Kokomo, Indiana; one brother-in-law, Greg Kniss of Peru, Indiana; two grandchildren, Wren Michael Wuensch, Briar Lee Wuensch; one nephew and live in caretaker, Troy Blair; and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Blair and Bonnie Brown; her husband, Bill Moore who passed away on July 25, 2022; one brother, Steve Blair; and one sister, Colleen Dawn Kniss.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Brad Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials can be made to an animal shelter of your choice in Karen’s honor.
