Lutricia Ann Gardner, 94, of Wabash, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at her residence. She was born on April 2, 1932, to Everett and Evelyn (Lynch) Blockson in Wabash, Indiana.
Lutricia graduated from Wabash High School in 1951. She married Robert Lee Gardner, Sr. on May 17, 1951; he died January 27, 1978. Lutricia was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wabash, Indiana. She owned and operated Gardner Tax & Accounting. She was a ceramics instructor in her own home and at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, Indiana. Lutricia was a hard worker and motherly figure to all.
Lutricia leaves behind a legacy of love including her children, Robert Gardner, Jr. of Wabash, Indiana, Joseph (Diane) Gardner of Cherryville, North Carolina, Dianna (Randy) Auxier of Sparta, Missouri, Arletha (James) Binion of Temple, Texas, and Mary Tate of Hollister, Missouri; grandchildren, Charlene, Jennifer, Alex, Harvey, Chelsey, Justin, Jeremy, and Megan; great-grandchildren, Joshua Jr., Kyle, Anthony, Austin, AnnaBelle, Hailey, Aroura, Jason, Namio, Charles, and Jasmine and Ayden- whom she raised with a mother's devotion. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Britt Gardner, and grandson, Christopher.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Father Jay Horning officiation. Burial will follow at Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will be two hours prior to the funeral service on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
