Robert Turley, 89, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 7:12 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Parkview Randellia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on June 6,1934, to Robert and Macel Turley in Illinois.
Robert married Carol Snowberger on April 24, 1954. She passed on March 1, 2018. He served in the United States Air Force. After his years in the military, He retired from Ford Meter Box after twenty years in Wabash, Indiana. He enjoyed golfing, painting pottery, and most of all spending time with his family. He held a membership with American Legion Post 15 in Wabash, Indiana.
Robert is survived by his three sons, Michael Turley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Robert (Susie) Turley of California, Jeffrey Turley of Richmond, Virginia; four daughters, Kim (Charles) Whitton of LaFontaine, Indiana, Teri (Tony) Moon of Richmond, Virginia, Debra Turley of Tipton, Indiana, Lori (Eric) Paul of Laramie, Wyoming; Sixteen grandchildren; Twenty-five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tom Turley.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow at Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery in Somerset, Indiana.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, April 5, 2024, at the funeral home.
