Marjorie L. Keene, 90, of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Parkview of Wabash Hospital in Wabash, Indiana. She was born to the late Alexander and Bertha (Lewis) Sollars on June 2, 1924 in Fountain County, Indiana.
She married Raymond Keene on August 20, 1942, he passed away on July 14, 2009. She was a homemaker to her family and a cook for Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center in LaFontaine, Indiana.
She is survived by three sons, Michael Keen (Edwina) of Wabash, Indiana, Alan Keen (Robin) of Silver Lake, Indiana, and Mark Keen (Bonnie) of Wabash, Indiana; daughter, Carolyn Brumley (Al) of LaFontaine, Indiana; brothers, Ronald Sollars of Marion, Indiana; sisters, Kathleen Keen and Madline Marshall of Marion, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, Stacey Brumley of LaFontaine, Indiana, Lori Smith (Randy) of Gas City, Indiana, Jason Keen of Wabash, Indiana, Austin Keen of Wabash, Indiana, Tonya Miller of Anderson, Indiana, Chelsie Keen of Huntington, Indiana, Ethan Keen of Nashville, Tennessee, Allysa Miller (Josh) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Shelly Mulligan (Shawn) of Wabash, Indiana, and Dustin Keen (Rhea) of Amboy, Indiana; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by six brothers, two sisters, and a grandson, Aaron Keen.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with one hour visitation prior to service. Burial will follow at the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are directed to American Heart Association in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcdonaldfunerals.com
