Gerald "Jerry" Gaylourd

Gerald “Jerry” Gaylourd, 84, of Wabash, Indiana entered into eternal rest at 1:25 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015 in his home surround by family. He was born to the late Albert and Virginia Margaret (Balog) Gaylourd on October 16, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Jerry married Charlene V. Grisso on March 15, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois on March 15, 1952, she survives. He served his country in the United States Army for over 21 years, joining the Army at the age of 17 years old. He is a Korean and Vietnam Veteran. Jerry retired from Ford Meter Box in Wabash, Indiana in 1992.
Along with his loving wife, Charlene; he is survived by daughter, Barbara (Gerben) Houtman of Wabash, Indiana; three sons, Gary (Bobbi) Gaylourd of Wabash, Indiana, Patrick (Sabrina) Gaylourd of Wabash, Indiana, and Timothy (Kathleen) Gaylourd of Peru, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, Josh (Sarah) Gaylourd, Tiffany (Jim) Stocks, Dan Gaylourd, Winter (Jesse) Lawson, Kara Steele, Rachel Lambert, Travis Gaylourd, Rebecca Gaylourd, Leigh Ann Gaylourd; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Suzanne.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Grant County, Indiana.
