He married Elsie Bryant on April 6, 1962, she survives. He retired from General Motors of Marion, Indiana after 46 years. He was a member of Bible Methodist Church in Gas City, Indiana. He was also a member of Fairmount Masonic Lodge, Fort Wayne Shrine and Scottish Rite and Order of Eastern Star in LaFontaine.
He is also survived by a son, John Smith (Tara) of Converse, Indiana; daughter, Jennifer Musall (Kent) of Hillsdale, Indiana; five grandchildren, Christina Grant (Cary) and Jeffrey Smith (Debra) both of Wabash, Indiana and Trisha Musall, Olivia Faith Musall, and Matthew Musall all of Hillsdale, Indiana; three great grandchildren, Coen Grant, Blayke Smith, and Bree Smith; two sisters, Linda Noble of Florida and Mrs. Terry (Mary Lou) Gladwell of New York and several half brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Rev. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.
