James Richard Craft, 72, of Wabash, Indiana passed away 7:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his home. He was born to the late James F. Craft and Wilma (Thurwachter) Mossman on October 20, 1940 in Columbus, Indiana.
He was a Wabash High School graduate of 1958, also he attended Manchester College. He married Sandra Smith on June 29, 1968, she survives. After 35 ½ years James retired on June 30, 2004 as the Northeast Supervisor from the State Board of Tax Commissioners. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Wabash, Indiana. He enjoyed antiquing over the years.
He is also survived by son, Brent Craft (Paula) of Wabash, Indiana and daughter, Wendy Short of Wabash, Indiana; grandchildren, Jarrett Craft, Jaron Craft, Kaelyn Short, Jessica Beane, and Jordon Beane; two great grandchildren, Briliegh Beane and Braya Beane.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, 173 Hale Drive, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor Jeremy Yeadon officiating. Burial will follow in the Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

George R. Earl Jr.
George R. Earl Jr., 72, of LaFontaine passed away at 9:01 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at his home. He was born to the late George R. Earl and Germaine (Smet) Dornseif on March 15, 1941 in South Bend, Indiana.
He graduated from Northside High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. George served his country in the United States Army. He married Deirdre Conroy on October 7, 1961, she survives in LaFontaine. He retired from Thompson of Marion, Indiana in 1999. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wabash, Indiana.
He is also survived by three daughters, Cheryl Rockwell (Kenneth) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Patricia Franklin of South Bend, Indiana, and Tracy Benzinger (Brent) of Leesburg, Indiana; three sisters, Juanita Sarrazin (Don) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Norma Dunton (Jake) of Noblesville, Indiana, and Laura Swartz (Tom) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Tanner, Morgan, Austin, Matthew, and Samantha; also several step sisters, step brothers, nieces, and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Rosie.
A Mass Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 207 N. Cass Street, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Father Sextus Don officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later time.

He was a 1975 graduate of Wabash High School. He married Lisa Coppock on April 21, 1979, she survives. He retired from CMI of Wabash, Indiana. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and F.O.P. Lodge of Wabash, Indiana.

Howard W. Smith, 71, of LaFontaine passed away 7:41 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at his home. He was born to the late Howard B. and Doris W. (Flitcraft) Smith on February 8, 1942 in Peru, Indiana.
He married Elsie Bryant on April 6, 1962, she survives. He retired from General Motors of Marion, Indiana after 46 years. He was a member of Bible Methodist Church in Gas City, Indiana. He was also a member of Fairmount Masonic Lodge, Fort Wayne Shrine and Scottish Rite and Order of Eastern Star in LaFontaine.
He is also survived by a son, John Smith (Tara) of Converse, Indiana; daughter, Jennifer Musall (Kent) of Hillsdale, Indiana; five grandchildren, Christina Grant (Cary) and Jeffrey Smith (Debra) both of Wabash, Indiana and Trisha Musall, Olivia Faith Musall, and Matthew Musall all of Hillsdale, Indiana; three great grandchildren, Coen Grant, Blayke Smith, and Bree Smith; two sisters, Linda Noble of Florida and Mrs. Terry (Mary Lou) Gladwell of New York and several half brothers and sisters.

Muriel Louise Randall
Muriel Louise Randall, 94, of Wabash, Indiana passed away 6:40 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Wabash County Hospital in Wabash, Indiana. She was born to the late Howard Eldon and Edith (Metzner) Hutchison on July 7, 1918 in Flanagan, Illinois.
She was a 1931 Graduate of Wabash High School. She married James N. Randall on August 12, 1940, he passed away September 19, 2001. She worked for P.N. Hirsch Company, was retired from J.C. Penney after 25 years of employment, then she joined her husband and currently was the owner of Jones UHaul in Wabash, Indiana. She enjoyed bowling and sewing. She was a 70 year member of First United Methodist Church in Wabash, Indiana. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 90 of Wabash, American Legion Auxiliary Post 15 of Wabash, and Tri-More Eucher Club.
She is survived by daughter, Mrs. James (Beverly) Hostetler of Wabash, Indiana; two grandchildren, John M. Hostetler (Angela) of Wabash, Indiana and Julie Hughes of Indianapolis, Indiana; and six great grandchildren, Nicholas, Devin, Austin, and Mason Hostetler and Landon and Kiersten Cole. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Hutchison and Harold Hutchison and two sisters, Juanita Hutchison and Delores McCallum.

She graduated from Marion High School. She married Maynard D. Weaver on December 4, 1946, he passed away December 22, 2008. She was a member of LaFontaine Christian Church of LaFontaine, Indiana.

Carrie Marie Abbott
Carrie Marie Abbott, 39, went to be with the Lord on Friday,
June 7, 2013 at 3:38 p.m. in Frankton, Indiana, after a courageous battle against
stomach cancer.
She was the
daughter of Jan W. and Sandra M. (Eastman) Bachman of Marion, Indiana. She was
born in Seoul, Korea on January 2, 1974. She was brought to the United States
through the Holt Foundation in 1976 to become an American citizen and a beloved
daughter.
She
graduated from Eastbrook High School in Grant County in 1992. Carrie was
employed by the Marion Fabrication Division of GM and was a member of the UAW
977. She was working on her B.A. Degree from Concordia University through the
GM plant. She was a member of LaFontaine Christian Church.
Carrie is
also survived by her husband, James A. Abbott of Frankton; two children,
Darianne E.M. Burnworth and Jacob A.W. Cromas both of Marion, Indiana;
brothers, Jon A. Bachman (Denise) and Matthew W. Bachman (Kim) both of Marion,
Indiana and Mark W. Bachman (Barbara) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandson,
Alexander Ortega; and four nephews and two nieces.
Funeral
Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the LaFontaine
Christian Church, 207 Bruner Pike, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Rev. Jack
St. John officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in
