Bruce Alan Wolfe

Bruce Alan Wolfe, 74, of North Manchester, Indiana, formerly of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 2:26 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at his daughter’s residence. He was born on March 12, 1950, to Lewis Jay and Anna Lou Wolfe in Ohio City, Ohio.

Bruce was a 1968 graduate. As a teenager he and his family moved to Texas. After graduation he returned to Wabash, Indiana. He later met the love of his life, Marsha Buckheister and married on August 2, 1971, and brought their two daughters Christie and Kellie into the world. Bruce worked for Tom and Hugh Tracy driving semi and hauling grain to Toledo, Ohio. He then went on to work for the ARC of Wabash County as a transportation coordinator.

Bruce thoroughly enjoyed everything outdoors. Each year he looked forward to the June or September Canadian fishing trips with his son-in-law Jon Kline. He believed fishing was not a matter of life or death, but thought fishing was even more important than that. Bruce steered away from large crowds and was always able to find isolation in the Canadian Shield Lake of the woods, which was first introduced to him on September 2, 1997, by Darrel Martin. Bruce traveled there for many years after. Not only did he enjoy fishing, but after the season wrapped up, he loved to be outdoors during the fall Whitetail Deer Hunting as well as mushroom hunting in the spring.

Bruce loved his family most of all. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Hoosier Point Truck Stop. Bruce loved to laugh and enjoy ice cream with his family. He is healed now enjoying heaven with the Lord.

Bruce is survived by two daughters, Christie (Nate) Edwards of Laketon, Indiana, Kellie (Jon) Kline of North Manchester, Indiana; two sisters, Vickie Rhodes of Avinger, Texas, Kaye (Robert) Stone of Gillmer, Texas; and two grandchildren, Carrisa Edwards, Alesha Edwards. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marsha Wolfe who passed away July 11, 2022; one brother, Charles Wolfe; two sisters, Dawn Michelle Wolfe, Beth Ann Wolfe; friends, Robert “Bob” and Francis Martin, Darelle Martin, Charles “The Guide” Shank, Sam Norwood, and many Northern Pikes and Small Mouth Bass.

A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at a later date amongst family and friends.
