Duane graduated from Wabash High School in 1959. He married Kristie (Weaver) Landis on June 17, 2005, she survives. Duane retired in 2005 from Ford Meter Box in Wabash, Indiana. Duane was famously known for his homemade noodles. He thoroughly enjoyed being with his grandchildren and family, also his Monday night group as well as his Florida and lake friends.
Along with his wife, Kristie; he is survived by daughters, Kim Baker (Michael) of Lynn Haven, Florida, Tina Keffaber of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Susie Keffaber of Wabash, Indiana; step daughters, Amy (Matt) Lunn of Bloomington, Indiana and Kerri (Jason) Sailors of Wabash, Indiana; step sons, Philip Landis (Jen) of Reno, Nevada and Jeremy Landis (Rachel) of Wabash, Indiana; sister, Sandra Holley of Bluffton, Indiana; grandchildren, Payten Keffaber, Skylar Baker, Olivia Lunn, Tyler Lunn, Austin Landis, Owen Landis, Jillian Sailors, Jake Sailors, Danika Landis, and Lakin Landis.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana. Preferred memorials are directed to Riley Children’s Hospital, 30 South Meridian Street-Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 or Wabash County Cancer Society, P.O. Box 144, North Manchester, Indiana 46962.
