Rickey Cooper, 65 of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 10:07 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born to the late Victor and Orcie (Watkins) Cooper on December 26, 1947 in Lackey, Kentucky. He was a 1967 graduate of Wabash High School. He served his country in the United States Army. He married Marla (Brown) Laferny in 1987, she survives.
Along with his wife, Marla; he is survived by two sons, Rickey Cooper and Matthew Cooper both of Anderson, Indiana; three daughters, Sandra Vackingburg of Germany, Jennifer Weems of Anderson, Indiana and Tammy Walters of Colorado; two sisters, Brenda Chandler and Debbie Smith both of Wabash, Indiana; and fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. No funeral service will be held.
