Tamara Sue Mahan

 

Tamara "Tammie" Sue Mahan, 63, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at her residence. She was born on July 21, 1960, to James and Mary (Porter) Fields in Wabash, Indiana.

Tammie married Jay Mahan on July 23, 1977. She was a 1978 graduate of Northfield High School, then attended and graduated from LPN school in Marion, Indiana. She worked as an LPN at Vernon Manor for 24 years in Wabash, Indiana and was a Foster Parent for 13 years. Tammie enjoyed helping others any chance she could, she opened a free clothing store to help others in need called From Humble Beginnings.

Tammie is survived by her husband, Jay Mahan of Wabash, Indiana; six sons, Joseph (Beth) Mahan of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Steven Mahan of Wisconsin, Kyron Mahan, Jackson Mahan, Aiden Mahan, Ethan Mahan, all of Wabash; four daughters, Heather (Troy) Elliott of Huntertown, Indiana, Jessica (Mathew) Baker, Mariah Mahan, Amylia Mahan, all of Wabash; her parents, James and Mary Fields of Wabash, Indiana; one brother, James (Charlene) Fields of Wabash, Indiana. She is preceded in death by one son, Zachary Mahan.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Rev. Billy Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.     

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the funeral home.

John Keith Stout

 

John Keith Stout, 57, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at his residence. He was born on September 8, 1966, to John E. and Janet (Sayers) Stout in Wabash, Indiana.

Keith was a 1985 graduate of Southwood High School. He worked as a machinist at Magnetics in Huntington then at GDX in Wabash. He married Robin Kelly on September 4, 2022. Keith was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Marion, Indiana and Moose Lodge 1195 in Wabash, Indiana. He enjoyed staying and home, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Keith is survived by his wife, Robin Stout of Wabash, Indiana; two sons, Justin Stout and Nathaniel Scott (Jamie) Kelly, both of Wabash; two daughters, Ashley (Richard) Luh and Misti (Julian) Hernandez, both of Wabash; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Kelly) Stout of Wabash, Indiana; one uncle, James (Bonnie) Stout of Macy, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Bethonie Stout, and one brother, Terry Dean Stout.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Grant Hubbard officiating.    

Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the funeral home.

William "Bill" H. Bayliss

William "Bill" H. Bayliss II, 63, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 6:24 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Majestic Care of New Haven. He was born on October 21, 1959, to William H. and Ruby J. (Samons) Bayliss in Columbus, Ohio.

Bill was a 1977 graduate of Wabash High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Crew Chief on the F-16 Fighter Jets. Bill was very proud to have served his country and be a Veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 15, VFW Post 286, and a Veterans of America in Marion, Indiana. He worked at Gen. Corp in Wabash and was a car salesman for numerous local dealers over the years. Bill was an avid mushroom hunter, enjoyed golfing, and hanging out with friends, but most of all he loved his children.

Bill is survived by one son, William "Colt" Bayliss of Warsaw, Indiana; one daughter, Destynee Bayliss of Lagro, Indiana; one brother, Carl (Michelle) Bayliss of Wabash, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one cousin, Tim Bayliss.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992.    

Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the funeral home.

Nathaniel "Nate" David Foster

 

Nathaniel "Nate" David Foster, 33, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 4:27 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Kosciusko County, Indiana. He was born on March 5, 1990, to Clarissa (Beck) Shipley and David Foster in Bremen, Indiana.

Nate was a 2009 graduate of Goshen High School. He married Jessica M. Bitzell on July 16, 2022. Nate worked as a Team Leader at Smart Cabinetry in Milford, Indiana. He enjoyed gaming, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and family. 

Nate is survived by his wife, Jessica Foster of Wabash, Indiana; two daughters, Mya Foster and Willow Foster; one stepdaughter, Avery Blessing; one stepson, Henry Bitzell; his mother, Clarissa (Randy) Shipley of Goshen, Indiana; his father, David Foster of Oregon; one brother, Joel (Dainelle) Shipley of Nappanee, Indiana; one step brother, Kris (Michelle) Shipley of Warsaw, Indiana; paternal grandparents, Bob (Teresa) Deveau of Goshen, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Ervin (Phyllis) Beck of Goshen, Indiana; mother in law, Lori (Dave) Harrell of LaFontaine, Indiana; father in law, Michael Bitzell of LaFontaine, Indiana. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Fernando and Judy Marroquin officiating.

Constance "Connie" L. McMinn

 

Constance "Connie" L. McMinn, 87, of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 12:43 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1936, to Lenard M. and Martha L. (Miller) Fisher in Peru, Indiana. 

Connie was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. She also graduated from Parkview Methodist in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Connie married Richard McMinn on September 11, 1960. She worked at Marion General Hospital as a Registered Nurse and was also a nightshift Supervisor before retiring after 37 years. She was a member of the LaFontaine United Methodist Church, where she was very active, serving as the pianist for decades. She was active with the Liberty Bells Home Extension in LaFontaine, Indiana, and The Woman's Club House in Wabash, Indiana. Connie played cards at the Senior Center in LaFontaine and was also active in the YMCA in Marion.  

Connie is survived by her husband, Richard McMinn of LaFontaine, Indiana; one son, Brian (Linda) McMinn of Rushville, Indiana; one daughter, Lorene (Mark) Satterthwaite of Plainfield, Indiana; three grandchildren, Kevin McMinn, Emily McMinn, Eric Satterthwaite; two sisters, Ann (Paul) Easley and Joyce McKown, both of Auburn, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Kyle Satterthwaite, and one brother, Ronald Fisher.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at LaFontaine United Methodist Church, 2 West Kendall Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with Pastor Susan Shambaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940.

Margie Osborne

 

Margie Osborne, 88, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Waters of Wabash East. She was born on September 20, 1934, to Charles and Reese (Cantrell) Walters in Vanlear, Kentucky.

Margie married Thomas Lee Osborne; he passed away on November 9, 2006. She was a CNA at Vernon Manor in Wabash for many years and also worked at General Tire in Wabash. Margie enjoyed gardening, flea markets, and quilting, but most of all she loved her family.

Margie is survived by six sons, Jesse Osborne, Paul Wayne Osborne, Billy Ray (Kim) Osborne, Harold (Shelly) Osborne, Clifford (Paula) Osborne, Johnny (Naomi) Osborne, all of Wabash, Indiana; five daughters, Joann (Danny) Grizzle of Lagro, Indiana, Beverly Conley of Warsaw, Indiana, Stella Starr of Wabash, Indiana, Janice Fields of Wabash, Indiana, Shannon (Joey) Ivy of Columbia City, Indiana; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Diane) Walters of Marion, Indiana, Joe Walters of Kentucky; five sisters, Betty Reed, Nora Moore, both of Wabash, Indiana, Darlene Fairchild, Nancy Fairchild, both of Kentucky, and Elsie Lilly of Paintsville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Falls Cemetery in Wabash.   

Visitation for family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the funeral home.

Richard "Rick" Allen Strickler

 



Richard "Rick" Allen Strickler, 69, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, at his residence. He was born on September 11, 1953, to Richard L. and Elsie M. (Horner) Strickler in Wabash, Indiana. 

Rick was a graduate of Wabash High School. He served in the United States Army. He married Cheryl Sue Sailors on April 11, 1975. She passed away on March 2, 2011. Rick worked as a forklift operator at Paperworks in Wabash, formerly Container Corp. He retired in 2017 after 38 years. Rick enjoyed arts and crafts and did a lot of driftwood artwork.

Rick is survived by three sons, Jason (Jessica) Strickler of Wabash, Indiana, Eric (Andrea) Strickler of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Brian Strickler of Wabash, Indiana; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his mother, Elsie Strickler of Wabash, Indiana; one sister, Jodie (Chuck) Burkholder of Wabash, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his father, his wife, and two brothers.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor Tony Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Wabash.   

Visitation for family and friends will be 2 hours prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the funeral home.
