Barbara Grimm

 


Barbara Grimm, 77, of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 11:41 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre in Wabash, Indiana. She was born on October 24, 1947, to Earl and Mary (Simpson) White in Wabash, Indiana.

Barbara was a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana. She worked as a newspaper carrier for over 40 years where she delivered The Paper, Indy Star, and the Marion Chronicle in Wabash, Indiana. Barbara held a membership with Wabash Christian Church. She also dedicated her time to collecting cans to save the tabs for Vernon Manor in Wabash, as well as collecting plastic bottle caps to recycle in order to make benches.  In her free time, she enjoyed staying active by walking when she had the opportunity.

Barbara is survived by one son, Mark Grimm; special friends, Peggy Banks, Chopper Kerns both of Wabash, Indiana; two brothers, Robert (Lori VerMaas) White of Wabash, Indiana, Jimmy White; one sister, Linda Kuhlman. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary White; one son, Roger Grimm; and one special friend, Author Bergk.

Private Graveside Services will be held at a later date at Falls Cemetery in Wabash, Indiana.

Charles "Chuck" Lennon Sesco

 

Charles “Chuck” Lennon Sesco, 84 of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at The Waters of Wabash East in Wabash, Indiana. He was born on October 8, 1940, to John Paris and Ruby (Bowling) Sisco in Paintsville, Kentucky.

Charles was a tool and die maker for Cyclone Seeder, then later worked at Diehls in Wabash, Indiana before retiring in 2005. He married his wife, Barbara (Bumgardner) Sesco on June 21, 1992. Charles attended Erie Street Baptist Church in Wabash, Indiana. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Additionally, he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in church, but above all he loved the Lord.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Sesco of Wabash, Indiana; one son, Ricky Sesco of Converse, Texas; one daughter, Lisa (Randy) Rife of Franklin, Tennessee; one step-son, Scott Bumgardner of Wabash, Indiana; two grandchildren, Taylor Rife of McDonough, Georgia, Jackson Rife of Franklin, Tennessee; two step-grandchildren, Reece Nicole Bumgardner, Maddox Scott Bumgardner both of Huntington, Indiana; two brothers, Raymond (Helen) Sesco, Johnny (Donna) Sisco; one sister, Betty Spencer; and one sister-in-law, Sandy Sisco. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Paris and Ruby Sisco; three brothers, Chester Sisco, Otis Sisco, Donald Sisco; and two sisters, Pauline Collins, Diana Bryant.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash Chapel, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992, with Rev. Tim Webb officiating. 

Visitation for friends and family will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the funeral home.

Gary D. Vanlue

 



Gary D. Vanlue, 69, of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 8:51 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Wellbrooke of Wabash in Wabash, Indiana. He was born on June 4, 1955, to Paul A. and Rebecca E. (Overholtz) Vanlue in Wabash, Indiana.

Gary was a lifetime resident of LaFontaine, Indiana. He was a 1973 graduate of Southwood High School. In his younger days, Gary was an avid participant in a pony pulling association. Later, he worked at Ford Meter Box for over 40 years in Wabash, Indiana. Gary participated in the 1812 reenactment at Mississinewa Battlefield for many years. Gary also enjoyed spending his free time talking on the CB radio.

Gary is survived by three nephews, Joseph (Amber) Turley of Falcon, Colorado, Jason (Janelle) Turley of Monessen, Pennsylvania, Kim (Susan) Barker of Converse, Indiana; two nieces, Cindy (Curt) Hudson of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Tamera (Christopher) Harnage of Babson Park, Florida; one sister, Paula (Victor) Tomaszewiski of Chino, California. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rebecca Vanlue; one sister, Lois E. Barker; and one brother, Paul Wayne Vanlue.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Pastor Susan Shambaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the funeral home.

Hattie Lee Cochran


 Hattie Lee Cochran, 20, of Summitville, Indiana, formerly of LaFontaine, Indiana passed away at 5:37 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Community Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. She was born on January 1, 2004, at 7:54 a.m., to Larry Cochran and Jennifer Smith in Muncie, Indiana.

Hattie attended Southwood High School. She held a membership with LaFontaine United Methodist Church in LaFontaine, Indiana. She worked in the Street Department for the City of Anderson. Hattie had a great love for music and animals. She especially loved her two dogs, River and Poppy. In her younger years she enjoyed horses as well. She also loved children and babysitting when given the opportunity.

Hattie is survived by her parents, Larry Cochran and Jennifer Smith; adoptive parents, Jason and Jennifer (Mason) Neal of Summitville, Indiana; three brothers, Dylan Cochran of LaFontaine, Indiana, Joshua Cochran of LaFontaine, Indiana, Jason Cochran of Upland, Indiana; two sisters, Amy Razor of Columbus, Ohio, Lynn VanVaser of Wabash, Indiana; two adoptive brothers, Luc Neal of Summitville, Indiana; Mikey Neal of Summitville, Indiana; one adoptive sister, Kailey Ramsey of Muncie, Indiana; one grandmother, Linda Smith of Marion, Indiana; two aunts, Sue Shultz of Hartford City, Indiana, Jaime Smith/Ussery of Kokomo, Indiana; one Great-Aunt, Connie Southerland of Marion, Indiana; and many extended family members and friends.. She is preceded in death by one brother, Kevin “Cowboy” Cochran; grandparents, Luther and Lorrane Cochran, Herb Smith; and great-grandparents, Cliff and Mary Roach, Thelma Farber. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Pastor Susan Shambaugh officiating. Burial will follow at LaFontaine I.O.O.F Cemetery in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the funeral home.
