Susan Ogan

 

Susan Ogan, 80, a lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana passed away at 9:13 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Parkview Noble Kendallville, Indiana. She was born to Charles Edward and Phyllis (Sampson) Vrooman on April 1, 1942, in Wabash, Indiana.

Susan was a graduate of 1960 Wabash High School. She then graduated from Indiana Business College. She married Jon Ogan on November 20, 1965. Susan retired from the Wabash County Hospital. She was a member of Wabash Christain Church and the Woman's Club House. She loved going on drives and loved her Monday Night Friends, but most of all she loved her family. 

Susan is survived by her husband, Jon Ogan of Wabash, Indiana; one son, Shawn Ogan of Wabash, Indiana; one daughter, Misty Marz of Wabash, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brayden Ogan of Wabash, Indiana, Mikayla Marz (Ignatius Boet) of Wabash, Indiana, Reid Votaw (Alexis Straley) of LaFontaine, Indiana, Peyton Ogan of Wabash, Indiana, Caleb Ogan of Wabash, Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Paisley Votaw, Lainey Votaw, and Percival Boet. She is proceeded in death by her parents and one sister, Sondra Hipsher, who passed away October 25, 2019.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992 with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Mississinewa Memorial Cemetery in Somerset, Indiana.  

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to be directed to Wabash Christian Church in care of McDonald Funeral Homes.

Nina J. Rouch

 

Nina J. Rouch, 87, of LaFontaine, passed away at 10:55 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. Nina was born in Wabash County to John and Lena May (Butt) Working on December 25, 1934.

Nina attended LaFontaine High School. She married Robert M. Rouch on June 22, 1952. She was a member of Banquo Christian Church. Nina was very involved in her church and was known for her homemade noodles.

Nina is survived by her husband, Robert Rouch of LaFontaine, Indiana; one son, Donald (Cindy) Rouch of Banquo, Indiana; one daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Marley of LaFontaine, Indiana; four grandchildren, Donnie Rouch, Angela Rouch, Jaime Shorter, Tracy Holmes; nine great-grandchildren, Desmond Rouch, Anna Grose, Becky Grose, Claire Grose, Danielle Grose, Hale Bowen, Breckin Hammel, Kendall Shorter, and Ellerie Holmes. She is proceeded in death by her parents, five brothers, Joseph Working, Dwight Working, Wayne Working, Robert Working, Donald Working; and three sisters, Relna McVay, Elizabeth Warner, and Miriam Working.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at McDonald Funeral Homes, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940 with pastor Harold Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the funeral home.
